Created in honor of Hero Coffee Co. founder’s grandfather, Ludwig Rupprecht, Battalion Chief of Engine 52 Ladder 13 in Detroit’s 1st Battalion. A true hero of his community and family, Ludwig was known for his courage, integrity, and love of coffee, drinking upwards of nine cups a day. This roast was crafted to celebrate his legacy of service, strength, and warmth.
A dark roast from Peru, Ludwig's Firehouse offers a bold and toasty, cocoa-forward cup with depth and character. Expect notes of dark chocolate, dried fig, walnut, and baking spices; a rich and robust profile befitting a firefighter’s cup.
With every purchase, 10% of proceeds goes towards supporting Napa County Firefighters, helping fund ongoing training/drills, new equipment, education, and community outreach initiatives. This is a small way of us honoring the everyday heroes who protect our communities and often go unrecognized.
This coffee is our tribute to Ludwig, to firefighters everywhere, and to the quiet acts of heroism that inspire us daily.
Cheers to Ludwig. Cheers to Firefighters. Cheers to Heroes.
