This coffee was curated and named to honor Hero Coffee Co.'s founder's Grandfather named Ludwig Rupprecht. He was battalion chief of engine 52 ladder 13 Detroit Fire Department 1st Battalion. He was a brave servant of his community in Detroit, Michigan and a true role model to his family. Also, he was a bit of a coffee fanatic. He drank upwards of 9 cups of coffee a day. This Hero deserves a coffee named after him.

-----

🇵🇪 This is a Peruvian dark roast with strong, dark chocolate notes with dried fig, walnut and baking spices. This robust, toasty cocoa-centric profile is fitting for a coffee for a firefighter.

🚒 Speaking of, for every purchase of the Ludwig Firehouse, a portion of the sale will go directly to supporting Napa County Firefighter who put their lives on the line for us and take on acts of heroism that often go unnoticed and unthanked. If you would like to learn more about this effort, please visit www.herocoffeeco.com.

This is our small way of thanking our firefighters. This is our way of thanking Ludwig.

Cheers to Ludwig, Cheers to the Firefighter, Cheers to Heroes! 👨🏻🚒 👩🏻🚒 ☕
